Just a little bit about me and my family....
Hi! Of course, by now, you know my name is Mrs. Lisa Kicklighter. I am married to Hugh Kicklighter (owner and operator of Southeast Bolt Company), and we have three children. Our oldest, Kella, is an accountant in Waycross and recently married Dave Bell. Kolby graduated salutatorian in 2014 and is attending South Georgia State College. She is planning to transfer to UGA soon. Her major is mathematics. She has the same love for math her mom does! Trae is currently a senior and loves playing football. GO BEARS! I LOVE my family and love doing things for them, especially cooking their favorite dishes.
So, why did I decide to become a teacher? My own children actually inspired me. I fell in love with watching them learn, and found those "lightbulb" moments addictive. So, I began the journey of completing my college degree and here I am now... teaching third graders at PES. For me, PES is the only place to be since I grew up in Patterson and absolutely love my hometown!
Math is my favorite subject to learn and to teach. Social studies and science were my next favorites in school and are a pleasure to teach as well. Teaching third graders, which for me is the BEST age to teach, is very rewarding. Not only do I enjoy helping and watching them learn, but I also enjoy learning from them.
